3D Character Modeling for VFX & Beyond

Join us for a talk by Michal Kriukow, lead modeler at Industrial Light & Magic! Graduating from a fine arts program with major in sculpture and 3d modeling in 2006, he started his career in San Francisco at the Orphanage. Afterwards he worked for Animal Logic in Australia, MPC in London, before landing at ILM in Singapore. He specialises in creature modeling, but also does texture and look development when necessary. Some of his credits include Warcraft, Jurrasic World, Harry Potter, Narnia and many more. Michal will share tips on working as a modeler in a VFX company and his approach to modeling.

Michal has been doing art since he remembers. Started using computers at 7 and got into 3D at 12. He loves travelling, and has been to all continents and lived on all (besides Africa).
