After all, 50% of our student population are from outside Singapore, and we are glad that we have made them comfortable, living, staying and studying here!

International Student Visas

The school will apply for International Student Visas for all international students who has accepted our offer for admissions. Every international student is to hold a valid student's visa pass. A tourist visa is not sufficient to study in Singapore. Part time work is not allowed and also not realistic during your studies here at 3dsense media school. Studies will be hectic and it will be very difficult to focus on your growth as a digital artist.

Because of our small size, Singapore is sometimes refered to as “The Little Red Dot”. We are one of the smallest countries in the world, but also a very cosmopolitan city. We are made up of 4 major ethnic groups, Chinese, Malays, Indians and Eurasians, with a strong Singaporean Identity. Take a ride on our subway (Mass Rapid Transit) MRT to any parts of Singapore, in Singapore and you'll quickly notice that it is only the tourists firmly holding on to their bags! Accommodation

There is a wide variety of accommodation types in Singapore to suit different budgets and needs. There are several private student hostels in close vicinity, some within walking distance to campus. Some of our recommendations can be found below. Depending on your budget and preference, you may also consider renting a private apartment or condominium. 3dsense Media School is located in the city centre, a minute's walk from Clarke Quay MRT subway station. It is easily accessible by train and bus services.

 

Student Hostels

Student hostels offer rooms ranging from single to two and four-bedded rooms with facilities such as WIFI, internet rooms, cleaning services, common lounge areas and laundromats. The following hostels are located in the city and very accessible to campus within a 5 to 15 minute journey.


yo:HA Hostel at Pearl's Hill
The yo:HA Hostel at Pearl's Hill is a new hostel conveniently located within a 10- minute walk to 3dsense. Near Chinatown station, it has 2-sharing and 4-sharing with shared bathrooms.

Oaktree Hostel at Owen Road

Opened in 2013, this hostel houses students in single and double rooms. It is a 2-minute walk to Farrer Park station. From there, a direct line will get you to Clarke Quay station in 10 minutes.

Located near the Orchard Road shopping district, this hostel is within a 10-15 minute journey to campus by bus or train.

Private Apartments

An alternative is to rent a room in a privately-owned apartment, condominium or Housing Development Board (HDB) apartment directly from the owner.  You may use online classified portals (google "singapore apartment rental") or get in touch with real estate agents who can advise you and help arrange visits to apartments. Agents will charge a fee for their services so be sure to check with them beforehand. Some of the residential areas that you can consider within a 20 to 40 minute journey include Novena/Balestier, Toa Payoh, Kallang, Tiong Bahru, Queenstown. Away from the city centre, the cost is usually lower in these areas.
