Our History
❮❮❮3dsense began as a community web portal in the late 90s. Since our founding in 2003, thousands of students have graduated from our programs and are now making their mark in the commercial and entertainment industries, creating everything from stunning Visual Effects to impressive motion graphics.
Before there were classes, there was a community.
First a community.
Then a school.
In 1999, Sen Lai started 3d’sense as a non-profit initiative to support the growing CG and animation community in the region. There was no school attached to it, and no plan for one. The community portal featured articles, members’ artwork, industry events, and was affiliated with the SIGGRAPH Singapore Chapter.
By 2003, the conversations and questions within the community had grown beyond what a website alone could support. That same year, 3dsense Media School opened its doors. The community came first. Everything since has been built on that foundation.
