ACADEMIC & EXAMINATION BOARD
Our Academic and Examination Board at 3dsense Media School is composed of experts with a proven track record in both the public and private sectors. They ensure the implementation of best practices, rigorous academic standards, and robust assessment models to maintain the quality of our education.
Our Executive Chairman, Leong Horn Kee, is Singapore's Non-Resident Ambassador to Mexico and a former Member of Parliament with over 22 years of distinguished service.
In the public sector, Mr. Leong chaired the Government Parliamentary Committee for Finance, Trade, and Industry (1996–2004) and the Public Accounts Committee (2004–2006). Since 2008, he has been a member of the Securities Industry Council, contributing to regulatory excellence.
In the private sector, he has held prominent leadership roles, including Managing Director of Orchard Parade Holdings, CEO and Managing Director of Yeo Hiap Seng, CEO and Managing Director of Far East Organization, and Director and Head of Corporate Finance at N.M. Rothschild & Sons.
A Colombo Plan and French postgraduate scholar, Mr. Leong is also deeply passionate about education and its ability to transform lives.
Dr Leong Horn Kee
Dr. Christopher Chia serves as the Head of the Academic Board and Senior Advisor at NTUC, where he provides strategic counsel on new media initiatives to the Secretary-General. Since November 2011, he has also held the role of Executive Chairman at NTUC Media.
Dr. Chia’s distinguished career includes serving as Chief Executive of the Media Development Authority (MDA), Chief Executive of the National Library Board (NLB), Director of the Information Technology Institute (ITI), and founder of the Information Communication Institute of Singapore. Notably, he played a pivotal role in transforming Singapore’s library system, pioneering a digital, networked, and borderless library system that leveraged advanced technology. Under his leadership, NLB earned the title of Innovative Organisation of the Year in 2001.
As a senior corporate advisor and director, Dr. Chia continues to guide both private and public sector organizations in transformation management, ICT applications, and strategic relations.
Dr Christopher Chia
From November 2007 to August 2012, Dr. Lai served as the Chief Executive Officer of PSB Academy Pte Ltd. Prior to this, he held key leadership roles, including Deputy Chief Executive Officer of TUV SUD PSB Corporation (April 2006 to March 2007) and PSB Corporation Pte Ltd (April 2001 to March 2006). Earlier in his career, from April 1996 to March 1998, Dr. Lai was the General Manager for Standards & Technology at the Singapore Productivity & Standards Board.
Dr. Lai holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Industrial Chemistry and a PhD from Loughborough University of Technology, United Kingdom.
Dr Steve Lai
Lum Tain Fore brings a wealth of experience in corporate governance, financial markets, and venture capital to his role on the 3dsense Media School Examination Board. With over 30 years of expertise as a private equity and venture capital investor, Lum’s strategic insights support the school’s commitment to academic excellence and operational rigor.
An advocate for education and innovation, Lum graduated with an MBA from the London Business School and holds a BSc (Hons) in Naval Architecture from Newcastle University, UK, as a Colombo Plan Scholar. His diverse professional journey enriches the academic and examination boards at 3dsense Media School, ensuring students are equipped with cutting-edge knowledge and skills to thrive in the creative industry.

Sen Lai, Founder and Chief Executive of 3dsense Media School, is a visionary leader in the creative education industry. A graduate in Computer Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Sen began his career in Canada in 2000, gaining valuable experience in the global creative landscape. Upon his return to Singapore, he served as an Animation Research Engineer at NTU’s Center for Graphics and Imaging Technology, where he contributed to advancements in computer graphics and imaging.
In 2003, driven by his passion for nurturing creative talent, Sen founded 3dsense Media School. Under his leadership, the school has become a global benchmark for digital media education, consistently ranked among the top 10 schools worldwide. His dedication to innovation and excellence has helped shape the careers of countless creative professionals in industries such as animation, visual effects, and game art.
In 2009, Sen further demonstrated his commitment to the creative arts by co-founding the FZD School of Entertainment Design, expanding his influence in cultivating the next generation of design leaders. With a career marked by groundbreaking achievements and a steadfast focus on creative education, Sen continues to inspire both his students and the global creative community.
Sen Lai
Justin Chua, Deputy Chief Executive of 3dsense Media School, is a seasoned professional with a strong background in business and marketing. He holds a Bachelor in Business Studies (Hons) degree from the Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Since graduation, Justin has built a dynamic career in marketing, excelling in diverse roles encompassing sales, market research, public relations, and event organization.
Justin’s passion for technology and business led him to join 3dsense Media School, where he oversees the school’s core administrative, financial, and marketing functions. His strategic leadership ensures the seamless operation of the institution, contributing to its reputation as a leading global school for digital media education.
Beyond his pivotal role at 3dsense, Justin is deeply involved in the creative community. He serves as the Marketing Chair for CG Overdrive, Asia’s largest CG event, which he co-founded in 2006 with Sen Lai. His efforts have been instrumental in positioning CG Overdrive as a premier platform for creative professionals. In 2009, Justin’s entrepreneurial spirit saw him co-found the FZD School of Entertainment Design alongside Feng Zhu, Mihwa, and Sen Lai, further cementing his influence in the creative education industry.
Justin Chua
Alvin joined 3dsense Media School as a partner in 2012, bringing with him a wealth of experience in finance and marketing. His leadership, alongside an ultra-dedicated team, has been instrumental in propelling 3dsense to the forefront of digital media education.
Prior to joining 3dsense, Alvin had a successful career in investment banking, having worked at Barclays Capital in Hong Kong and Singapore, where he specialized in debt capital markets and structured financing. He later transitioned to OCBC Bank, focusing on fixed income and FX derivatives institutional sales. His extensive background in finance and strategic management has allowed him to effectively oversee the financial, digital marketing, compliance, and operational functions at 3dsense.
Alvin holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Electronic & Electrical Engineering from University College London and a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD. With his diverse expertise and passion for education, Alvin continues to contribute to the ongoing success and growth of 3dsense Media School.
Alvin Leong
Mr. Lai has an impressive career spanning over 45 years, with extensive experience in both technical and administrative roles. His most recent position was as Regional Manager for Thomson Consumer Electronics, where he was responsible for overseeing product safety across Hong Kong, the USA, and Europe. In addition, he served as a Lead ISO 9000 inspector and Quality Control Inspector, ensuring high standards in engineering production.
As the Chief Administrator at 3dsense Media School, Mr. Lai brings a wealth of experience in creative problem-solving and process optimization. With his background in a full-fledged production environment, he plays a key role in addressing the administrative challenges that arise at the school. His deep understanding of both operational efficiency and creative workflows ensures that 3dsense continues to thrive in its mission to provide top-tier education.
