
OVERVIEW
ART & DESIGN FOUNDATION
Graduate with a Diploma in Visual Art (Synchronous E-learning) from 3dsense Media School, a program eligible for Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA) subsidies.
This 4-month online program provides essential foundational training for digital artists. Students will master core art fundamentals, including traditional drawing techniques, key design principles, and aesthetic studies. The course is designed to refine artistic flair and develop a keen eye for art direction in creative projects. While students will be introduced to basic 3D concepts, the primary focus is to equip them with a solid artistic foundation, preparing them to seamlessly transition into our 1-year full-time programs.

CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
The Art & Design Foundation program provides a comprehensive introduction to the key skills needed for digital art. Over the course of the program, students will engage with fundamental techniques in 3D design, illustration, and traditional drawing, laying the groundwork for their creative careers. The curriculum is structured around two main pillars: technical skill development and artistic exploration.

FACULTY

Edward Lim

Edward is a highly accomplished educator and industry professional with deep experience across both art education and the film industry. A pioneer at 3dsense Media School, he spent seven years shaping the school’s approach to foundational art training and mentoring aspiring artists.
Beyond education, Edward has over 12 years of experience as a Senior 3D Modeler, contributing to major international studios including Double Negative, VHQ, and Industrial Light & Magic (ILM). His work in high-end film production gives him a clear understanding of the standards and thinking required in professional creative pipelines.


Gan Ming Jun

Ming Jun is an artisan focused on illustration, visual storytelling, and art education. He began his career in 2018 as a game art intern at VividThree, gaining early experience in production pipelines and team workflows.
Since 2026, Ming Jun has been working as an art lead and game designer on a mobile game with MNL Asia, an EV company based in Singapore that has expanded into Malaysia, India, and Brunei. In this role, he contributes to both visual development and design direction, bridging artistic vision with production needs.
