ART & DESIGN FOUNDATION

Graduate with a Diploma in Visual Art (Synchronous E-Learning)

This 4-month online program provides essential foundational training for digital artists. Students will master core art fundamentals, including traditional drawing techniques, key design principles, and aesthetic studies. The course is designed to refine artistic flair and develop a keen eye for art direction in creative projects. While students will be introduced to basic 3D concepts, the primary focus is to equip them with a solid artistic foundation, preparing them to seamlessly transition into our 1-year full-time programs.

CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

The Art & Design Foundation program provides a comprehensive introduction to the key skills needed for digital art. Over the course of the program, students will engage with fundamental techniques in 3D design, illustration, and traditional drawing, laying the groundwork for their creative careers. The curriculum is structured around two main pillars: technical skill development and artistic exploration.

CURRICULUM BREAKDOWN

Students will explore key digital design concepts, from composition rules to principles of moving visuals. Topics like the principles of animation will be covered and applied to assignments, helping students develop a strong understanding of design fundamentals in a digital context.

A pioneer at 3dsense, he spent seven years shaping the minds of aspiring artists before venturing into the world of blockbuster filmmaking. With 12 years of experience as a Senior 3D Modeler, Edward has contributed his expertise to renowned studios like Double Negative, VHQ, and Industrial Light & Magic (ILM).

Chia Kai graduated from NUS with a Master in Architecture. In 2017, he took a career switch into the illustration and concept art industry. Here at 3dsense, Chiakai brings with him his passion for digital illustration, he is instrumental in molding the next generation of CG Talents here at 3dsense.

Crystal, an accomplished instructor for the Art & Design Foundation Program, brings a wealth of expertise honed over six years in the dynamic worlds of casual mobile gaming, slot design, and advertising.

Currently serving as a concept artist at MOCREATIVE, she specializes in illustration and concept design, where her talent and creativity shine. Crystal's boundless curiosity fuels her exploration of motion graphics, 3D and 2D animation, and scripting, allowing her to master diverse artistic disciplines.

Passionate about fostering creativity and innovation, she is dedicated to inspiring students to embrace experimentation and discover their unique artistic voices. With a commitment to sharing her extensive knowledge of workflows and design styles, Crystal empowers aspiring artists to push the boundaries of their imagination and achieve their creative potential.

The Figurine & Product Design Diploma is a fascinating course. You get to see your product gradually come to life, from the planning stage to the digital sculpt, and finally, to the physical model.
